changing the face of homelessness with your help

We believe in real homes with friendship and support.

Our goal is to help men and women help themselves.

We work with the full range of public services and the local church community to achieve transformation in the lives of men and women suffering the effects of homelessness and exclusion.

To House

We provide support within a safe, family-style home, where people feel valued and develop relationships of trust with the staff and the residents.

To Free

We help people to address life-controlling issues such as addictions, mental health issues and other problems, working closely with other professional and voluntary agencies, providing tailored individual support, and friendship.

To Equip

We equip people for sustainable living on a practical level, teaching the necessary life skills and establishing friendships and support networks in the community.

Our Values

We seek to develop the life skills, resilience and well-being of our residents so that they have the choice and opportunity of moving into work, education, training or volunteering. We are passionate in helping people realise their worth and their identity, that everyone has amazing gifts, talents and abilities; and our desire is to help our residents understand their potential and avoid becoming homeless again.

Our Christian ethos

The belief that people can change and be empowered to take responsibility for their own lives

commitment

Our commitment to each person’s growth and spiritual journey. The whole person, recognising the physical, emotional, mental and spiritual dimension

Safety

A safe community based on respect, trust, honesty, acceptance and accountability

Relationships

Relationships and the importance of families, teamwork, modelling and healthy boundaries

Professionalism

Professional competence, appropriate training and the highest standards in service and practice

Empower

To equip and empower people with the belief that they can be part of the solution and contribute something back to society.

Testimonials

Carl

I love the house because there is plenty of laughter and freedom to be myself. The best part of the relationship with others at Homes of Hope is being heard and not feeling that I am alone.

Iain

The future seems a lot brighter now and hope is growing. Thanks to all the staff and those who offer support to Homes of Hope

Nick

It’s been a long time since I felt a part of society with a life worth living, and I currently feel like I’m becoming myself again and I’m really excited for the future. More so than any hostel or other supported accommodation

We believe everyone deserves more than a roof – they deserve a place to belong. Homes of Hope provides safe homes, friendship, and faith-based support so men and women can rebuild their lives with dignity.

The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.” – John 1:5
